Bio

Monica Ferrer, born and raised in Miami with Nicaraguan-Cuban roots, is an artist and teacher. She holds a Master of Science in Art Education from Florida International University after receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art. She also received both undergraduate and graduate certificates in Portrait and Figurative Art. Inspired by traveling, Monica's works reflect her connection with the natural world and in turn, places importance on unity amidst a seemingly separated world in her artwork. Notable exhibitions include showing pieces in the Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum, Ronald W. Reagan Presidential House, FIU Miami Beach Urban Studios, Laundromat Art Space, and Crandon Park.
